Job Summary The Frontline Packaging and Labeling Operator is responsible for packaging, weighing, labeling, and preparing meat products for distribution and retail sale. The role ensures products meet quality, food safety, and presentation standards while maintaining efficient production line operations in a meat processing environment. Key Responsibilities Package fresh and processed meat products according to company specifications. Apply accurate labels including weight, price, batch codes, expiry dates, and product information. Operate packaging machinery such as vacuum sealers, wrapping machines, and labeling equipment. Inspect products for quality, appearance, and packaging defects. Maintain production speed and efficiency on the processing line. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures. Monitor packaging materials and report shortages or equipment issues. Maintain clean and sanitary workstations and equipment. Stack, box, and prepare finished products for storage or dispatch. Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times. Skills & Experience Required Previous experience in food production, meat processing, or packaging preferred. Ability to work in fast-paced production environments. Good attention to detail and accuracy in labeling. Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety procedures. Ability to operate packaging and labeling equipment safely. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Reliable attendance and time management. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods. Repetitive hand movements and manual handling tasks. Capable of lifting boxes and packaged products safely. Working Conditions Cold and refrigerated processing environments. Exposure to raw meat products and food production equipment. Shift work, weekends, and overtime may be required.
