Structural Steel Fabrication Company:
Superior Skilled Trades Schedule:
Full-Time | 1st, 2nd
Overview:
Superior Skilled Trades is hiring experienced Machine Operators to support the fabrication of structural steel beams and components using robotic welding systems and automated equipment. This is a hands-on role working with large steel members, automated welding cells, and advanced fabrication machinery. If you have experience in structural steel, robotic welding, or heavy manufacturing, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, high-performance team.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor robotic welding systems and automated fabrication equipment Set up machines, tooling, and basic robotic programs based on work orders and drawings Perform fit-up, alignment, and positioning of structural steel components Load and secure steel materials for welding and fabrication processes Inspect welds and finished components for quality and accuracy Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols Measure and verify parts using calipers and gauges Troubleshoot basic equipment or fabrication issues Perform routine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work area Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet daily output goals
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience operating fabrication equipment in a manufacturing environment Experience in structural steel fabrication and/or robotic welding strongly preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols Experience with CNC machines, automated systems, or beam lines is a plus Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Reliable, team-oriented, and safety-focused
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly Comfortable working around heavy equipment and steel materials

Full-Time, Monday-Friday 1st
Shift:
6:00 AM•2:00 PM 2nd
Shift:
