Job Description

Summary:
Summit Graphics, located in Pilot Point Texas, is a leader in the Packaging, Label and Signs industry. We produce high-quality custom products for the Business to Consumer space. Our business is growing and we are hiring qualified skilled technicians to join the Summit Graphics team. As a Digital Print and Wide Format Operator, the candidate will run all the digital printing equipment—everything from roll-fed and sheet-fed label and printing presses to large‑format printers that produce signs, posters, prototypes, and short‑run packaging. Candidates will set up, run, calibrate, and maintain digital and wide‑format printers, manage substrates and color, and ensure every printed piece meets high-quality output.
Responsibilities:
Digital Printing (Labels & Packaging) Set up and run digital label presses. Review product specifications. Load substrates like paper, film, synthetics, and specialty materials. Manage RIP software to process print files correctly. Color calibration and profiling to maintain consistency across jobs. Perform quality checks for color accuracy, clarity, and finishing. Troubleshoot print defects such as banding, color shifts, streaking, or registration issues. Handle finishing steps like laminating, varnishing, die‑cutting, or slitting when tied to the digital workflow. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform required maintenance. Wide Format Printing (Signs & Displays) Set-up and operate large‑format printers. Review product specifications. Print on rigid and flexible materials—vinyl, foam board, corrugated, PVC, banners, adhesive films. Set up print profiles for different substrates and ink types. Perform finishing tasks such as trimming, mounting, laminating, or applying adhesives. Install graphics on panels, boards, or sign blanks when required. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform required maintenance Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience operating digital and wide format presses. Wide Format experience on the following are a plus: Zund Digital Die Cutter, Cannon Arizona Large Format Sign Press. Digital Press experience on the following are a plus: Konica-Minolta Digital, Trojan 2 and Ricoh. Understanding of job tickets, bleeds, crop marks, sizing, color requirements, and print substrates. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Ability to manage multiple jobs and meet production deadlines. Excellent communication skills including reading, following written and verbal instructions Good attendance is expected. Candidate must work schedule and overtime when necessary Maintains a clean environment Good hygiene habits Must follow safety procedures including wearing PPE.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED Physical Expectations:
Ability to stand for up to 8 hours. Frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs. Occasionally lift/ carry more than 50 lbs. Have moderate manual dexterity.
Work Environment:
All work is performed in an indoor, climate and temperature controlled, packaging facility with close proximity to heavy and hazardous machinery. Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
