Job Title:
SMT/AOI Machine Operator Job Description We are seeking a skilled SMT/AOI Machine Operator to join our team in Richardson, Texas. The successful candidate will perform equipment set-up, operation, and adjustments with minimal supervision, ensuring optimal performance in electronic manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Perform equipment set-up, operation, and adjustment for products of varying difficulty. Coordinate with team members to set up machines according to set-up sheets. Operate AOI and SPI equipment, preferably Kohyoung, to detect defects such as soldering issues and misaligned components. Provide programming and technical support for SMT process equipment used in PCBA manufacturing, including marking, solder paste printing, solder paste inspection, pick and place (Fuji preferred), and reflow oven. Ensure board loader and feeders are continually kept loaded with the correct parts and prepare for the next part run by loading feeders in advance. Monitor machine rejects to ensure parts are sorted and ran daily. Ensure processes and equipment remain within acceptable company manufacturing standards. Perform quality auditing, testing, and basic machine troubleshooting functions. Essential Skills Experience in production and SMT machine operation. Proficiency in operating AOI machines. Knowledge of electronic manufacturing processes. Understanding of PCB and conformal coating. Additional Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with IPC 610 standards.
