We make acidified food like Salsa, BBQ sauce, and Bloody Mary drink mixes on behalf of branded food companies. Creative Foodworks is based in San Antonio, Texas and was founded in 1994. We are looking to hire a Machine Operator to help us keep growing. This position will work in our packaging department with our Track Pack Machine, the date coding of jars and bottles, the label department and machinery, the printing of trays, and the finished good palletizing process. Applicants must have relevant experience, a good work ethic, an ability to multi-task, possess a high attention to detail, and enjoy a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities for Machine Operator Ensure that proper labels, trays, boxes and other items are staged for production Set up tray packer machine for operation Ensure the label machine, box printer, and date coder are set properly for each production run. Make any required adjustments to the machinery to ensure optimal performance. Operate machinery and equipment according to instructions. Troubleshoot issues and confirm preventatives maintenance is occurring as scheduled. Perform quality control, follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor Comply with all safety and health regulations Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in work area Qualifications for Machine Operator High School Diploma or GED Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing facility, or similar relevant experience Must be detail-oriented Understanding of production and plant processes Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement Ability to follow written and oral instructions Ability to work in a team environment Ability to lift x pounds, to bend, and to stand or walk for long periods of time Willingness to work late or early hours, some Saturdays, and overtime if necessary. Must possess a positive, "can do" attitude. Bilingual (spanish) is highly preferred
