billion in sales in 2025. Job DescriptionSika is looking for an experienced Lead Machine Operators to join its growing team in the Sealy, TX area for our roofing business. The Lead Operator is responsible for ensuring successful operation of the production line. Their primary function will be to lead a crew of operators, while ensuring the machine is running safely and properly. ( 3 shifts available, 1st, 2nd and 3rd)Oversee startup, shutdown, and operation of key pieces of equipmentOperation of equipment through PLC driven HMI interfaceCommunicate effectively and in a professional manner with the teamBasic troubleshooting of equipment and knowledge of how to handle specific situations/issuesCommunicate issues and concerns to both maintenance and management. Issue corresponding work orders into the Fiix CMMSDocument lot numbers of all materials used in productionIdentify hazards and anomalies in the process and communicate them to the appropriate partiesRoutinely gather finished material samples and test them for thickness/weight according to ASTM testing protocolsKeep a repository of test data, machine data, start-stop times, and reasons for shutting downMaintain a positive relationship with both Maintenance and Quality Assurance and seek them out when neededCoordinate product/recipe changes with the production team and shuttle drivers.
