Spherion Staffing is hiring for Cast House Workers Day & Night shift (6am-6pm) 60+hours weekly available in the Sherman , Tx area. The Cast House Worker will be responsible for operating furnaces, casting machines, and cranes, monitoring metal quality, adhering to strict safety protocols, and conducting routine equipment maintenance to meet production schedules. Day shift will be 6 AM-6 PM Monday - Friday Occasionally on weekends( Needs to have availability If needed) . Night shift will be 6 PM -6 Am Monday - Friday Occasionally on weekends( Needs to have availability If needed).

Responsibilities:

Monitoring and controlling the melting furnaces, ensuring the aluminum scrap and primary metal reach the correct temperatures.

Proper PPE required while at jobsite.

Visually inspect cast ingots/billets for defects, such as cracks or uneven surfaces, and take samples for laboratory analysis.

Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment, including ladles, molds, and cooling systems.

Strictly follow safety protocols, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), due to high-risk hazards such as noise, heat, and chemical exposure. ...

Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S) to ensure safety and efficiency.

Maintain accurate production records, including logs of material usage and downtime.

Casting/Molding:

Operating the casting systems to form the liquid metal into solid billets.

Material Handling:

Loading raw materials into the automated charging machine

Quality Control:

Checking for impurities or casting defects and ensuring the billets meet specific metallurgical standards.

Working hours:

6:00 PM - 6:00

AM Skills:

Usually 1-2 years of experience in industrial, foundry, or aluminum cast house environments. Highly organized, self-motivated Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with supervisors and quality control teams.

Able to operate and work in heavy manufacturing settings that involve significant physical hazards, including extreme heat, loud noise, and the handling of molten materials.
