Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Plastic Process Technician, where your expertise will drive the production of high-quality plastic components. In this energetic role, you will oversee and optimize various plastic molding processes, ensuring efficient operation of industrial equipment and adherence to safety standards. Your mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills will be essential in maintaining seamless production workflows, supporting continuous improvement, and delivering exceptional product quality. Duties Operate and monitor plastic manufacturing equipment including injection molding machines Set up, adjust, and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and robotic systems to maintain consistent production output. Conduct quality inspections using precision measurement instruments and dimensional measurement tools to verify product specifications meet strict quality standards. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on industrial equipment Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment, ensuring proper storage and transfer of raw materials and finished products. Follow safety protocols diligently during all operations, including the use of hand tools and safety gear, to maintain a safe working environment. Assist in assembly processes when required, applying mechanical knowledge to ensure parts are correctly assembled according to specifications. Skills Strong understanding of plastics processing techniques including injection molding, and plastics production experience. Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotic systems Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment effectively. Experience in quality inspection using measurement (quality control) tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments. Skilled in materials handling with forklift certification preferred. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to machine settings, and quality assessments. Pay:
$25.48 - $30.69 per hour
