2nd shift Machine Operator Bristol, VA 24202 Full-time, Contract Full-time, Contract Job Overview Federal Pacific, an Electro-Mechanical Company, is seeking motivated and mechanically inclined individuals to join our growing fabrication team as Machine Operators. This role supports the production of electrical power distribution equipment using advanced manufacturing technology including CNC laser cutting systems and TRUMPF automated bending cells. Successful candidates will play a critical role in supporting production quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Operate CNC laser cutting equipment and TRUMPF automated bending cells. Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and manufacturing drawings. Perform machine setups, tooling changes, and basic troubleshooting as needed. Inspect fabricated parts to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy. Utilize measuring tools including tape measures, calipers, and gauges. Support fabrication, production, and material handling operations as required. Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas. Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and production personnel to meet manufacturing schedules. Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and operating guidelines. Participate in continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives. Assist with additional fabrication or production duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Previous manufacturing, fabrication, CNC, or industrial production experience preferred. Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with automated manufacturing equipment. Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing drawings preferred. Experience operating fabrication equipment such as lasers, press brakes, CNC machines, or automated production equipment is a plus. Ability to use basic measuring tools and perform quality checks. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Dependable attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience with TRUMPF, Amada, Bystronic, or similar fabrication equipment. Sheet metal fabrication experience. CNC setup or machine troubleshooting experience. Forklift experience is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed. Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment around moving equipment and machinery. Why Join Federal Pacific?
