Prepress Designer

Title:

Graphics Coordinator Summary:

Receives and manages customer artwork for printing, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of approved art files throughout the pre‑press process.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive, review, and process customer art files for printing Order bases, cylinders, and backup cylinders based on job volume Inspect proofing materials for correct copy, color, layout, and die structure Create setup sheets detailing specifications for Pre‑Make, Ink, and Press teams Coordinate customer approvals for new graphics and inks Organize and maintain tooling library Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System and support continual improvement Conduct occasional customer visits to confirm requirements and engraver visits to review specifications Follow all EHS, PPE, and hazardous material handling policies Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas

Requirements:

High School Diploma required; 2-3 years gravure printing experience preferred Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage schedule and artwork changes Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, and schedule‑based instructions Effective communication skills across multiple organizational levels

Physical & Work Environment:

Regular standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and use of hands Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 25 lbs Requires color and depth perception and focus adjustment Exposure to noise, fumes, moving machinery, and chemicals

Pay:

$65,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
