Job Description

Compensation Range:
$25.10 - $42.10 Wiring Machine Operator / Technician Production & Machine Operation Operate the Komax Zeta 650 automated wire processing machine to produce wire sets according to the production schedule. Review each production job before starting and verify the correct wire processing data and requirements. Perform proper machine startup and shutdown procedures. Load wires, terminals, ferrules, ink, and other required materials into the appropriate machine locations. Select and load the correct production job/program into the machine. Monitor machine operation and respond to alarms, material shortages, quality issues, and process interruptions. Organize completed wire sets and ensure they are properly identified for the correct production unit. Complete and close work orders in the production scheduling system according to the production schedule. Monitor inventory levels of wires, terminals, ferrules, ink, and other consumables to prevent production interruptions. Order or request wires, ferrules, terminals, ink, and other required consumables as needed. Continuously monitor the machine during production. Perform manual crimping and wire processing when necessary to maintain production flow due to machine or quality issues. Perform quality checks and verify completed wire sets after each production job to ensure they meet specified requirements. Machine Maintenance & Troubleshooting Perform daily and scheduled preventive maintenance according to the established maintenance schedule. Inspect machine components for wear, damage, or abnormal operation. Troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, sensor, software, belt drive, blade, and wire processing issues. Work with Maintenance and Komax technical support to troubleshoot and resolve machine issues. Document recurring machine problems and maintain required maintenance and service records. Experience & Skills Good written and verbal communication skills.
Computer skills:
Microsoft Excel and production scheduling systems. Experience operating automated manufacturing equipment preferred. Experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment and machine problems. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to troubleshoot basic electrical, mechanical, sensor, software, and wire processing issues. Basic understanding of electrical wires, terminals, ferrules, crimping, and wire identification. Electrical wiring and wire processing experience preferred. Experience with Komax or similar automated wire processing equipment preferred, but not required. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify machine, material, and quality issues. Ability to work independently and make appropriate decisions when machine, material, or quality problems occur. Ability to communicate and work effectively with Production, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Purchasing, and Komax technical support. Training Requirements Munters Orientation. Komax machine operation and commissioning training. Hours of Work Required Standard work schedule plus overtime and weekend hours as required to meet production demands.
