Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Assembly Worker to join our manufacturing team on the weekend 12-hour shift in Hampton, VA.

TEMPORARY ASSEMBLY OPERATOR I
General Line 12 hour weekend Night Shift 6pm- 6am Friday Saturday Sunday Monday We are renewing the hiring incentive program designed to support our ongoing staffing efforts. Effective immediately, we will be offering a $500 sign-on-bonus for candidates hired into any direct labor position in Hampton. This incentive is for requisitions posted by James Harrison, Garry Lewis, Scott Keaton, and Victoria Jones. This bonus will be paid after the new hire successfully completes 60 days of employment. In addition, we will offer a $200 referral bonus paid out as a spot bonus to any employee/contractor who refers a candidate that is hired and begins employment on March 16, 2026. Referral bonuses will be paid in accordance with our standard referral payout guidelines. Duties Assemble components accurately according to schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers. Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to ensure proper assembly sequences and specifications are followed. Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot assembly issues and perform minor adjustments or repairs as needed. Operate fabrication equipment, welding tools, soldering stations, and machining tools to prepare parts for assembly. Conduct quality checks utilizing precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances. Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards. Assist with warehouse tasks including material handling using forklifts and managing inventory levels. Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements for efficiency and quality. Qualifications Proven experience in manufacturing or assembly environments with familiarity in blueprint reading and schematic interpretation. Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments. Mechanical knowledge of fabrication, welding, soldering, machining, and use of hand tools and power tools. #
MSP Pay:
$22.00 - $24.15 per hour
