Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Waterjet Operator for an immediate start in Lorton, VA!
PAY:
$25.00-$28.00/hour, based on experience
HOURS:
8:00 AM-5:30 PM

Waterjet Operator Job Description:
Operate and set up waterjet cutting machinery for production runs.
Load, align, and secure raw materials onto the cutting bed.
Review work orders, material specifications, and cutting files before starting jobs.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and dimensional tolerances.
Adjust machine parameters and cutting settings based on job requirements.
Build or edit toolpaths using CAD software and waterjet programming tools.
Monitor the cutting process to ensure consistent quality and accuracy.
Inspect completed parts using micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
Make process adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency standards.
Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
Empty and clean the catch tank.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Operate a forklift and other shop equipment as needed.
Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Qualifications for
Waterjet Operator:
High school diploma or GED.
Prior experience with CNC, waterjet, fabrication, or general manufacturing is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
Experience using precision measurement tools.
Familiarity with CAD or machine programming software is a plus.
Basic shop math skills.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality workmanship.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Requirements for
Waterjet Operator:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must have reliable transportation to the job site
- Pre-employment drug screen and background check are required
