Mail Machine Operator - 2nd Shift 11050 Challenger Court, Manassas, VA 20109 $15.50 an hour - Full-time $15.50 an hour - Full-time Summary/Objective This role is part of the Production team at Planet Direct, supporting both Affixing and Bindery operations. Responsibilities include off-line affixing processes (stamping, labels, post-it notes, variable data imaging) as well as bindery functions such as cutting, folding, and collating. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position requiring operation and basic maintenance of tabbers, inkjets, bindery, and ancillary equipment. Operate tabbers independently and assist with inkjet and bindery equipment under guidance as needed Run generic work and basic personalized forms independently Maintain sequential order of personalized forms, identify and flag breaks in sequence, and label containers as instructed Perform routine maintenance on department equipment to ensure proper functionality Monitor and inspect work to ensure quality standards are met Identify and report equipment or production issues promptly through appropriate channels Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all safety procedures, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE), and report hazards immediately Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality Cross-train on additional equipment or departments as needed to support production demands Perform other duties as assigned Competencies Teamwork Orientation Time Management Results Driven Communication Proficiency Supervisory Responsibility This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching. The employee may be required to lift up to 50 pounds. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday and occasionally on weekends. 2 shift is 3pm - 11:30pm. Travel No travel is expected for this position. Required Education and Experience This is an entry level position with no experience required. Additional Eligibility Qualifications Must be able to pass a background check and drug test. Work Authorization Must be eligible to work in the United States.
