The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and able to thrive in a fast-paced production environment while ensuring quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process. Extruder Operator:
Full-time, 2nd Shift position (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)
Pay Rate:
$21.00 per hour Responsibilities of the
Extruder Operator:
Extrusion Equipment Operation Safely operate heavy industrial extrusion equipment used to cook and shape raw ingredients into dry pet food. Set up extrusion dies and adjust machine settings, including barrel temperatures, screw speed, and pressure, according to product specifications. Monitor production processes to ensure consistent product quality and performance. Make equipment adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards and production efficiency. Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment jams and operational issues while minimizing downtime. Production & Quality Control Monitor the consistency and appearance of extruded products throughout the manufacturing process. Ensure products meet established quality and production specifications. Communicate equipment or product concerns to supervisors or maintenance personnel when necessary. Safety & Housekeeping Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Safely lift materials weighing 50 pounds or more as required. Stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods in a manufacturing environment. Requirements for the
Extruder Operator:
Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues. Ability to safely lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis. Ability to stand and work in a manufacturing environment for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products. Dependable work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to workplace safety and following established operating procedures. #
