EAP. POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Metal Finisher to join our manufacturing team. This is a contract-to-hire (CTH) position with potential for long-term growth. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating heavy machinery and possess a strong work ethic and willingness to learn and adapt within a dynamic production environment.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Metal Finisher, you will spend approximately 50% of your time straightening raw materials and 50% flattening materials, using specialized heavy-duty presses.

Your daily tasks will include:

Material Straightening & Flattening:

Operating heavy machinery, including a 150-ton press, to perform T4 and T5 straightening and flattening of various metal materials.

Machinery Operation:

Using an induction heater to heat materials, operating saws, and potentially performing drilling tasks as needed.

Quality Control:

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings (GD&T) to ensure finished products meet specifications, and utilizing measuring equipment for quality checks.

Flexibility:

Willingness to flex to various work centers based on production needs.

Documentation:

Utilizing computer systems proficiently to log work and maintain accurate records.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing industry (2-3 years ideally).

Technical Skills:

Familiarity with reading drawings (GD&T) and using measuring equipment. Basic math skills are essential.

Physical Ability:

Comfortable using heavy machinery (e.g., 150-ton press), capable of lifting 50+ lbs, and able to stand for an entire shift.

Work Ethic:

Detail-oriented, reliable attendance record, and a willingness to flex to various work centers.

Computer Skills:

Proficient with computers for documentation and tracking purposes.
