Packing facility labor Willow Wind Organic Farms - 2.0 Ford, WA Job Details Temporary $18 - $25 an hour 3 days ago Qualifications Packing Forklift Manufacturing facility Warehouse experience Materials handling Full Job Description Overview We are seeking 5 to 6 happy people to join our packaging facility team as a Packing Facility Laborer and become a vital part of our packing process! The facility operates from early July to about the end of Septemeber or early October although we may have some extra work after the season on the farm but this is not guaranteed. In this role, you will support the efficient grading and packaging of organic blueberries, ensuring quality standards are met while maintaining a safe and organized workspace. This position offers an opportunity to develop hands-on skills in packaging operations, mechanical systems, and warehouse logistics. If you work well in a fast-paced environment and are willing to contribute to a team that values precision and teamwork, this role will be great for you! Duties Operate packaging machinery and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure smooth production flow. Pack clamshell packages into cartons and stack onto pallets. Wrap, label and move palletized fruit into large coolers. Load, unload, and organize materials within the warehouse using forklift equipment when necessary Follow FDA regulations and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) standards to maintain product safety and quality Conduct routine inspections of packaging lines and equipment, troubleshooting mechanical issues as needed. Maintain accurate records of production activities, including batch tracking and inventory management Assist with general warehouse tasks such as inventory counts, material handling, sanitation and cleanliness to support overall manufacturing efficiency Skills While not strictly neccesary some experience with packaging processes within a manufacturing setting would be helpful. We will need at least one forklist operator so warehouse experience is highly valued Basic understanding of getting to work on time and the importance of this for ALL the crew! Not showing up doesn't work for anyone as it places undue strain on the whole crew.
