Machine Operator - Laser (Metal Fabrication)

$23-$25/hour Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join a growing metal fabrication team in Vancouver, WA. This role focuses on operating and maintaining a CO2 Bystronic laser in a production environment while supporting team efficiency and output. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate a CO2 6K Bystronic Laser (26' x 8') Perform basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on equipment Work with mild steel up to 1" thick and stainless steel up to 5/8" thick Collaborate with and guide material handlers on proper prep and setup procedures Ensure consistent quality and production efficiency Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of laser operating experience in a metal fabrication, manufacturing, or production environment Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings Strong teamwork skills with the ability to provide direction and support to entry-level employees Reliable and safety-focused work ethic Work Environment & Schedule Custom metal fabrication shop environment Non-heated facility — must be comfortable working in cold conditions (open bay doors during winter) Positive, family-oriented culture with open communication and leadership accessibility
