Packaging Machine Operator

Wysocki Family Farms is seeking a Packaging Machine Operator to assist our packaging team! As a Packaging Machine Operator, you are responsible for the effective operation of machines and conveyor systems. Initial set up duties include packaging materials, starting machine, adjusting weight, and setting up the tank. Proceeding set up, the packaging machine operator will be responsible for maintaining the operating line to maximize production levels in a safe manner. The operator will be able to recognize any slowdown in the operation on the line and alert a supervisor or maintenance. Qualifications 3+ years' experience in a key production related field; experience with packing equipment preferred. Experience with food safety standards preferred. Demonstrated basic math and reading skills. Ability to have reliable transportation to and from scheduled work hours. Essential Functions Set-up, operate, maintain and clean plant equipment to maximize plant quality and production levels. Be able to Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to management. Keeping machinery clen using the 5s principles Maintain accuracy and meet deadlines within daily production needs. Comply with safety regulations (including food safety) and maintain clean and orderly work area. Efficiently start production within 5 minutes of shift start. Physical Demands The work environment for this job frequently exposes the employee to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Wysocki Family Farms is an EEO.
