We are seeking a Baler/General Laborer for our Butler, WI facility, minutes from Milwaukee! This role involves sorting and compacting paper into bales and other duties such as material handling and receiving.

1st Shift- 6:30am - 2:30pm Monday-Friday

WHAT DOES MY WORKDAY LOOK LIKE IN THIS ROLE?
Identifies by category, various grades of paper and waste that have been accumulated at the baler area. Determines what grades have enough material to make a bale of. Fills the baler hopper with paper by using the cart tipper. Bands and ties the completed bale with wire. Removes and weighs the bale with a fork truck. Tallies the weight of the bales and transfers to a bill of lading. Loads the bale onto semi-truck for shipment. Musts keep up and have available empty waste carts for manufacturing. Performs 5S duties and keeps work area clean. Performs safety checks on trailers and lift truck. Helps in other departments in manufacturing.

SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE IN THIS ROLE HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS
Prior experience operating a bailer, pererably in a manufacturing enviorment Able to read a ruler with accuracy Manual dexterity Strong initiative Team player Attention to find details Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior Manufacturing experience running a bailer machine preferred.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL FUNCTIONS
Stamina & Mobility:
Ability to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for the duration of a scheduled shift (8-12 hours). Must be able to frequently bend, reach, crouch, or stoop.
Weight Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally from floor to waist and waist to shoulder.
Manual Dexterity:
Constant repetitive grasping and fine motor manipulation of paper materials and machine components.
Range of Motion:
Frequent twisting of the torso and lifting above shoulder height.
Sensory/Vision:
Must possess tactile/touch sensitivity in hands and digits. Near and far visual acuity, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are required for quality control and safe machine operation.
