Position Description SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Operations Technical Manager, the Process Technician will be responsible for set-up, start-up and shutdown of all molding machines and auxiliary equipment. The successful candidate will possess a strong aptitude for troubleshooting and the ability to use basic hand tools. This position will require the candidate to work independently with minimal supervision and be able to follow detailed instructions while maintaining press efficiency and scrap reduction.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Setup and startup of all molding machines in a safe and timely manner Setup and maintain secondary and auxiliary equipment, and robots Perform material and color changes Perform screw clean and screw pull on molding machines Perform machine adjustments within allowable parameters Keep work area clean and orderly Identify improvement ideas and making recommendations Follow all safety policies and proactively engage in the safety of others Follow ISO work instructions and guidelines Assist and train of other employees All other duties as assigned Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED (required) Previous set-up experience in a plastics manufacturing environment Strong reading and writing skills A complete set of personal hand tools Available to work overtime and weekends as needed is required
