Extrusion Operator 2nd shift

3pm - 1am Mon - Thurs Candidates must have at least 1 year of solid manufacturing experience to be considered. The Extrusion Technician plays a key role in supporting the goals of the Extrusion Department by ensuring the safe and efficient operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. This position is responsible for the proper setup, adjustment, and monitoring of machines to maintain consistent and reliable production. The Extrusion Technician must promptly notify the Extrusion Supervisor of any repair or maintenance needs. The technician will continuously monitor machine performance, identify opportunities for process improvements, and recommend workflow enhancements that help improve production efficiency. Communication with the Extrusion Supervisor regarding any suggested changes is essential. Essential Functions Read and follow instructions in machine manuals and specification sheets, applying all required directives Maintain a professional, respectful, and cooperative attitude with coworkers in the Extrusion Department and across other departments Perform root cause analysis as needed to troubleshoot and resolve machine issues Identify sources of mechanical problems by observing equipment in operation, listening for irregularities, and using precision measuring and testing tools when necessary Ensure proper operation of machinery and mechanical equipment according to training Report required machine adjustments and repair needs to the Extrusion Supervisor Help minimize downtime by performing preventive maintenance tasks as assigned Clean machinery and equipment after use, including adjusting parts and lubricating moving components to ensure efficient performance Inspect and monitor moving parts on an hourly and daily basis for signs of wear, damage, or defects

Pay:

$20.00 - $21.00 per hour
