MACHINE OPERATOR/FLOATER
to join our team! An ideal candidate is an individual that is passionate about their work and committed to quality, service, excellence, and innovation. In this role, the
MACHINE OPERATOR
will focus their time in a manufacturing cell operating a Laser Cutting Machine and Fin Machine and be expected to float into other production areas as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include but not limited to: Operate a variety of production machines including laser cutting, fin, vertical mills, horizontal mills. Reads and understands blueprint, job routings, setup sheets and standard charts for such specifications as dimensions and tolerances. Perform Quality Control Characteristics documentation of tolerance zones specified on blueprints. Inspect parts using tools that include, but are not limited to micrometers, calipers, vision systems and height stands. Operate milling/turning machines with supervision. Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE 0-1
years of experience in a similar position in a machine shop and/or training.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Ability to read blueprints. Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills. Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt to shifting priorities.
