Description Job Summary:

The Tornos/Bechler operator's role involves loading raw materials, monitoring the machining process, adjusting machine settings as necessary, and ensuring the quality of the finished parts. This individual will thrive in a fast-paced precision manufacturing environment, has a keen eye for detail, and is committed to delivering excellence.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time, benefits eligible position requiring approximately 40 hours per week. Core work schedule is Monday

• Friday from 6:30am
• 3:00pm.

Individual must be flexible to work overtime as needed.

Pay Rate:

$20

• 24 Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Operate Tornos/Bechler machines according to job specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards.

Load raw materials into the machine and monitor the machining process to ensure proper operation. Inspect and verify part dimensions using precision measuring equipment to ensure conformance to specifications. Adjust machine settings as necessary to maintain product quality and meet production targets. Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn components. Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure they meet all quality requirements before releasing them for further processing or shipment. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Keep accurate records of production activities, including machine settings, production quantities, and any quality issues encountered. Collaborate with other team members, including engineers and quality inspectors, to optimize production processes and improve product quality. Complete any additional duties or projects as assigned. Requirements Similar previous machine operation experience and use of measuring equipment is a plus. A positive attitude and exceptional aptitude for growing your skills. Ability and willingness to learn the proper use of precision measuring and inspection equipment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to read, understand, and accurately follow department processes and procedures. Effective decision making and problem-solving skills with a drive for results. Ability to prioritize time-sensitive projects/tasks. A collaborative mindset that focuses on teamwork. Detail orientation with the ability to accurately follow work instructions. Basic math, computer, and data entry skills (previous ERP system experience a plus). The ability to effectively use precision measuring instruments. Vision corrected to 20/20 for accurate inspection of parts.
