Job Description
Bindery Helper
- 2nd Shift QPS Employment Group 16.
Position Title:
Bindery Helper Wage:
$16.00/Hour Shift:
2ndShift Hours:
02:00 PM- 10:00 PM Monday

Bindery Helper Responsibilities:
- Assist Bindery Operators to ensure smooth production and packaging operations
- Place paper jackets onto unfinished books
- Remove printed materials and finished products from machines and conveyors
- Wrap finished products in plastic and stack products on pallets or skids
- Pack finished products into boxes for shipment
- Inspect stitched, collated, bound, and unbound products for defects, including imperfect bindings, ink spots, torn pages, loose pages, and other quality concerns
- Feed covers, signatures, and sheets into machinery for collating, stitching, folding, trimming, ruling, stapling, roughing, indexing, gluing, and perforating operations
- Feed related printed materials, including periodicals and pamphlets, into binding equipment
- Operate overhead cranes and Big Joe automatic pallet jacks
- Operate banding machines
- Maintain production quality standards and report defects or production issues
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned Requirements for
Bindery Helper:
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production environment
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly throughout the shift
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, and kneel throughout the workday
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
