Compounder Responsibilities:
  • Maintain strong communication with supervisor for daily activities
  • Know and follow safety procedures related to Hazcom, ergonomics, safe lifting, PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) requirements, etc.
  • Handle hot materials and transfer into various containers
  • Fill out paperwork correctly and make notes for correct errors
  • Follow the plan and prioritize materials movement using drum lift or loading equipment (electronic pallet jack or forklift stacker)
  • Complete electronic material transactions with RF scanner
  • Review daily transactions in NAV (ERP) for accuracy
  • Review and complete all steps in a work order or recipe
  • Weight and add ingredients to a batch
  • Verify and label containers accurately
  • item number, lot number, date of expiration, etc.
  • Complete flux pump tank cleaning and sanitizing following work instructions and record status in cleaning log.
  • Follow first expiry and first out (FEFO) to use old inventory first
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) for the compounding department
  • Load materials into oven and record in a log
  • Perform daily calibration and proper scale use
  • Follow work instructions for tank cleaning and sanitizing
  • Follow master cleaning schedule and document daily cleaning tasks
  • Load and unload dishwasher; and follow work instructions for dishwasher
  • Fill, maintain and operate floor scrubber
  • Properly label drums by removing old labels, matching item and lot number, and placing label on drums Requirements for
Compounder:
  • At least one year of experience in a similar environment
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic math skills
