Machine Operator Wage:
$20- 25/hour
Shift:
1st, 2nd, 3rdHours:
6:00am-2:30pm, 2:00pm-10:30pm, 10:00pm-6:30am QPS Employment Group is hiring a Machine Operator for a company in Franklin, WI. This is an associate to hire opportunity on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift. Machine Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Oversee line equipment to make pretzel bread products
- Adhere to SQF, HACCP, and GMP standards
- Assist the Production Supervisor/Lead with managing workflows and appropriate staffing levels
- Operate multiple production lines from set-up to shut down and sanitation
- Ensure efficiency and maximize run capacity and speed while at the same time ensuring the product is in spec
- Physically move, push, lift, pack, stack, and handle product, baking materials, and equipment
- Observe the flow of the production line and identify where help is needed, stepping into any position to provide support
- Complete training related to food and personal safety as required
- Other responsibilities and duties as assigned
Machine Operator Requirements:
- 3 years of previous experience in a manufacturing environment, food production preferred
- Experience with operating production equipment
- Ability to stand and/or walk up to 100% of the time, and work in a freezer
- Frequent pulling, carrying, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work independently and efficiently, exercise initiative, resourcefulness, and good judgement
- Flexible and comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work flexible and irregular hours that may vary due to the needs of a 24-hour manufacturing environment
- Must be able to work 12 hours as needed
- High level of critical thinking skills that allows for diagnosing equipment issues
- Operate in both a professional office environment, as well as a manufacturing plant with varying temperatures
- Routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines
- Regular verbal communication and attentive listening
- Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing in environments with varied temperatures
