Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, 4:00 PM - 1:00 AM (3-day weekends!)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our Wood Department. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with a consistent weekday schedule and the potential for long-term placement. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times Operate a variety of production equipment Inspect product quality using measuring tools such as calipers and rulers Accurately complete written production reports Sort boards in the end board sorting area Perform additional duties as assigned Report production activities and issues to the supervisor
Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED, or HSED (or equivalent experience) Basic math skills, including decimals and reading measurements Experience using calipers or similar measuring instruments preferred Basic reading and writing skills Willingness to become forklift certified if needed Ability to work overtime as required Strong attendance, dependability, and a positive attitude Ability to follow instructions, communicate effectively, and work independently Why Apply? 4-day workweek with long weekends Opportunity to get hired on permanently Hands-on role with skill development (including forklift certification) If you're looking for a stable opportunity with growth potential, apply today.
