In this role, you will be responsible for accurately cutting raw materials to specification while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency. What You'll Do Operate industrial saws, including band saws and circular saws, to cut raw materials to precise dimensions. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and job specifications. Adjust machine settings, blade speeds, and material feeds to ensure accurate cuts and minimize waste. Measure and inspect finished materials using calipers, tape measures, and other precision tools. Load and unload raw materials and stage completed parts for production. Identify material defects, miscuts, and quality concerns before materials move to the next operation. Maintain production records and job documentation. Perform routine equipment maintenance, including blade changes, lubrication, and cleaning. Report machine issues and assist in maintaining a safe work environment. What We're Looking For 1-2 years of experience operating industrial saws, CNC equipment, or automated cutting systems in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing drawings. Strong math and measurement skills. Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures. Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Experience working with materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel is preferred.
