5:00am-3:00pm QPS Employment Group is hiring a Machine Operator for a company in Jefferson, WI. This is an associate to hire opportunity. Machine Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Independently set up and operate laser cutting machines, press brake (bending) machines, and roll bending equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to ensure accurate part fabrication
• Perform full machine setup, adjustments, and changeovers to meet production requirements
• Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures (millimeter precision), and other inspection tools to verify part dimensions and tolerances
• Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, production errors, and nonconforming parts independently within assigned authority level
• Make adjustments to machine settings to maintain quality and production targets
• Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying and recommending process, safety, and efficiency improvements
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company standards
• Follow all safety procedures and consistently use required PPE
• Document production data and complete required reporting using computer systems as needed
• Provide guidance or training support to other operators when required

Machine Operator Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 3+ years of experience operating and setting up industrial or manufacturing machinery
• Hands-on experience with laser cutting machines, press brake equipment, and/or roll bending machines strongly preferred
• Experience performing machine setup, changeovers, and adjustments independently
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficient use of precision measuring tools (calipers, tape measure in millimeters, and related instruments)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• High attention to detail with ability to maintain tight tolerances
• Basic computer skills for machine interfaces, production tracking, and documentation
• Strong understanding of safe machine operation and manufacturing best practices
• Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and meet production deadlines
• Fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks as required
• Must comply with all safety policies and wear required PPE at all times
• Expected to maintain high levels of accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism
