POSITION SUMMARY

Working under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the employee is responsible for operating several pieces of equipment throughout the Front-End Department, up to and including both heavy mil and light mil shears, the AB Digital Coater, and the heavy mill material stock washer/coater. Attention to detail is required for handling materials, reviewing job orders, and calculating and selecting the correct materials for further processing. May be asked to assist in other departments depending on workflow needs. Will be trained and certified to operate a forklift and must be safety conscious at all times.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILTIES

Stock Cutter, both Light Mill and Heavy Mill Materials Heavy Mill Material Stock Washer/Coater Digital Material Coater Material Handler/Forklift Operator Oven Tender/Racker Perform quality control testing of material hardness and coating thickness as needed. Safely operate and inspect all equipment daily or before operating. Deliver material to downstream internal customers. Log on/off work orders, accurately record information in job management system.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Flexibility to be cross trained in other plant positions. Observe all safety rules and precautions, use PPE as required. Follow departmental job policies and procedures. Perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives. Maintain neat, safe work area and overall upkeep of equipment. 1st shift -Monday through Thursday 5am - 3:30pm.
