Job Purpose/Scope:

Under the direction of the shift and department supervisors, this position is responsible for performing and maintaining the complete setups on die cast machines and associated equipment.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

Ensure that all specifications and standards are in technical compliance. Assists in maintaining machines and associated equipment, including robots and sprayers. Maintains all equipment and ensures work space is clean and orderly strictly adhering to strong 5S standards. Maintains records and reports and attends meetings as required. Confers with the other Setup Technicians to coordinate department activities. Ability to operate die casting equipment as required. Verifies that all safety equipment is in use and functioning properly and adheres to the highest safety standards and all regulations. Skilled in process improvements and automation. Use computers and printers to print labels, communicate interdepartmentally, and use ERP system. Drive and use a forklift to set tools. Overtime may be required and at times be mandatory.
