Day Hours:
6:00am-6:00pm (2-2-3) Join a dynamic team dedicated to processing raw whey into top-quality whey protein products. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop technical skills in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment while ensuring product safety and quality. Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Sample, test, and document product quantity and quality to meet specifications, using FT120 testing equipment.
  • Load and unload trucks following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Identify and maintain HTST/pasteurization charts in compliance with WDA and FDA regulations.
  • Operate and monitor CIP wash pH and perform CIP on equipment and storage vessels, including chemical testing and titration.
  • Support food safety by adhering to sanitation SOPs and supporting SQF requirements.
  • Assist with startup, operation, and shutdown of complex evaporator, ultra-filtration, and RO membrane systems, whey HTST, and CIP systems.
  • Participate in safety inspections, audits, and training, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Monitor the storage of cow water and soft water to ensure supply for CIP and boilers.
  • Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, twisting, pushing, and lifting up to 50 lbs. as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members and assist in other plant areas to meet production goals.
Operator Requirements:
  • 0 years of related experience or training; open to entry-level candidates with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. regularly and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working on knees and in elevated areas like mezzanines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively operate equipment and perform chemical testing.
  • Promotes professionalism, punctuality, and a safety-conscious attitude.
  • Demonstrates ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
