Job Summary:

Operate manufacturing equipment, troubleshoot issues, perform basic repairs and quality checks, and maintain production reports. Follow safety procedures, maintain cleanliness, support quality systems, and ensure product quality.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED. Basic Microsoft Word, Outlook & Excel skills. 1-3 years of manufacturing/industrial experience or equivalent military training. Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays & overtime. Ability to wear required PPE and work around noise, dust & chemicals. Able to work independently and handle multiple tasks. Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform bending, twisting, stooping, crouching, stairs, and frequent gripping. Manufacturing equipment, tractor or forklift experience preferred but not required. Candidates without machine operating experience may be considered if they have automotive/mechanical shop experience and transferable skills, with willingness to learn machine operation.

Note:

Entry-Level Candidates:

Recent graduates with a 2-year or technical degree , less than 1 year of related experience, or previous shop/mechanics class experience who are interested in manufacturing may be considered.

Additional Information:

Temp-to-Hire:

You will work as a temporary employee for about 4 months. After completing the contract, you may be considered for a full-time position with the union.

Pay:

If hired full-time, there is typically a slight increase in pay, but the exact rate is not confirmed yet.

Shift:

Initially, you will work a rotating day/night (swing) shift on a 2-2-3 schedule. After becoming full-time, there may be opportunities to apply for permanent day shift or permanent night shift, while still following the 2-2-3 schedule.

PPE:

Contractors will be provided safety glasses and hearing protection from the site but MUST provide their own steel toe shoes prior to starting. This is not reimbursed by the client.
