Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Rewinder Operator, where your expertise will keep production running smoothly and efficiently! In this vital role, you will operate rewinding machinery to process large rolls of material, ensuring high-quality output and optimal workflow. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will contribute directly to our company's success and customer satisfaction. Duties Operate rewinding equipment to process rolls of material accurately and efficiently, maintaining specified tension, alignment, and quality standards Monitor machine performance throughout the shift, making adjustments as needed to prevent defects or downtime Conduct routine inspections of machinery, including forklifts and flexo presses, ensuring all equipment is in safe working condition Assist with prepress tasks by verifying roll specifications and preparing materials for subsequent manufacturing processes Support packaging operations by preparing finished rolls for shipment, including labeling and stacking according to safety guidelines Maintain detailed logs of production activity, machine maintenance, and quality checks for compliance purposes Collaborate with team members in manufacturing to troubleshoot issues promptly and improve overall workflow Skills Proven experience operating rewinder machinery in a manufacturing or packaging environment Strong understanding of prepress processes, flexo printing equipment, and machining techniques Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently; forklift certification is preferred Knowledge of packaging standards and procedures for handling large rolls of material Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control and safety compliance Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members across different departments Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and perform basic maintenance on equipment This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to contribute their technical skills in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
