The individual will be assisting with the milling of flooring, mouldings, stair parts, and possibly even our cabinets and interior and exterior doors. This position is not your standard operating line, as every position is entirely different! Each employee is typically trained on multiple machines. This position will offer a high potential to move up within the company, as we are looking for additional leadership positions to be filled. Pay varies depending upon prior experience, current skillset, and position within Balsam Millwork. Responsibilities and Duties Operate a variety of equipment, anything from the rip saw, planer, moulder, defecting saw, end matcher, sander, and/or other small hand tools Perform quality control checks at every point of manufacturing May be required to occasionally deliver jobs in company vehicle within 1-3 hour radius Qualifications Self-motivated Must be willing to learn and follow specific instructions Works well with others Positive attitude Reliable Must have great attendance record Job Related Skills Accurately read and use a tape measure Plus if candidate has previous experience with a wood manufacturer Plus if able to identify hard and soft wood species Must be able to physically lift 50-75 lbs on a consistent basis
