Machine Operator Aerotek is hiring now for their best clients in the market. Grab this opportunity to work with one of our client for a Machine Operator position with pay range started from $18/HR where you will get the room to grow and make your perfect career Job Description Candidates will be working in either the grinding department or the pack off department. In the grinding department, they will load raw materials into the grinding machines, which can weigh up to 75lbs. They will monitor the machines while they run and perform any basic troubleshooting needed. At the of their shift, they will take the machine apart, clean and sanitize it, and then reassemble it. In the pack off department, candidates will run Formax and packaging machines and perform basic troubleshooting as required. Responsibilities Operate and load raw materials into grinding machines. Monitor and troubleshoot machine operations. Clean, sanitize, and reassemble machines at the start of each shift. Run Formax and packaging machines in the pack off department. Perform basic troubleshooting for packaging machines. Essential Skills 1 year of machine operating experience. 1 year of experience working with hand and power tools. Ability to lift 75lbs consistently. Additional Skills & Qualifications Food production experience is a nice-to-have. Why Work Here? Employees will be part of a Union, gaining eligibility for benefits after 60 days of employment. After 6 months, they can advance to Operator Level 2 with a 50-cent raise, and after 1 year, they can move to Level 3 with another 50-cent raise. All employees receive a 2.5% annual increase on January 1st every year. Work Environment The position is for the 1st shift, running from 5:45 am to 3:45 pm, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays. Any hours worked over 8 per shift will be paid as overtime. Candidates will work 50+ hours a week in a GMP food production environment, wearing overcoats, gloves, hard hats, ear plugs, safety glasses, and knee-high non-slip rubber boots. The production floor is refrigerated, maintaining a temperature of 30-40 degrees. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pleasant Prairie, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
