Machine Operator Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and shut down production lines according to standard operating procedures and production schedules.
- Produce high-quality products while meeting safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Complete quality checks and maintain accurate production documentation.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas utilizing 6S lean manufacturing principles.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, barrel handlers, and other material handling equipment.
- Identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and ergonomics.
- Assist with warehouse organization and inventory control using RF scanners and inventory counts.
- Label and palletize finished products according to established pallet patterns.
- Assist with production line setup and movement of equipment between lines.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and PPE requirements.
Machine Operator:
- High school diploma, GED equivalent, or applicable manufacturing experience required.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, 3.5 days per week, with overtime as needed.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and complete documentation accurately.
- Experience operating packaging machinery preferred.
- Minimum six months of food or feed manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment.
