The Gund Company Inc., a family-owned manufacturer of engineered electrical and mechanical insulation materials, is seeking a Panel Saw Operator to support our production team. In this role, you will operate and set up panel saws to cut materials to precise specifications for power generation, industrial equipment, and transportation customers. Responsibilities include reading production orders and drawings, measuring and inspecting parts, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and performing basic equipment checks. Responsibilities Operate and monitor panel saw equipment to cut materials to specification Read and interpret production orders, drawings, and measurements accurately Set up, calibrate, and adjust saws, blades, and guides for optimal performance Inspect materials and finished parts for quality, accuracy, and defects Follow safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and use required PPE at all times Perform routine cleaning, minor maintenance, and troubleshooting on equipment Record production data, material usage, and report issues to supervisors Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to meet schedules Handle and stage raw materials and finished goods for next process steps Support continuous improvement, 5 S, and lean manufacturing initiatives Required Skills Panel saw operation Industrial machinery setup Blueprint and drawing reading Measurement and tape measure use Quality inspection and gauging Basic mechanical maintenance Material handling and staging Safety and PPE compliance Lockout/tagout familiarity Production documentation
