Stick Packaging Department Responsibilities:

• Sets up (assembles and disassembles), operates, adjusts, cleans, and sanitizes equipment to produce products within quality standards and according to procedures.
• Accurately measure and mix raw materials following batch production recipes and formulations.
• Performs minimal maintenance and preventative maintenance (PM) on equipment as required, and when appropriate.
• Assists others in the areas trained as required by production demands or by direction of the Supervisor.
• Prints and applies labels to product.
• Verifies lot and batch numbers and maintains accurate production records and equipment logs.
• Assists in developing and improving SOPs.
• Follow all workplace safety protocols and ensure safe operation of equipment at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Participate in safety training and report any incidents or hazards immediately.
• Work closely with other operators, technicians, and supervisors to meet production deadlines.
• Participates in continuous improvement activities using Lean concepts and principles.
• Troubleshoots and/or identifies equipment failures or problems.
• Adhere to Powered Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPR) requirements when working in environments with airborne contaminants or hazardous materials.
• Maintain required PAPR certification and ensure proper care and usage of all personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Takes necessary samples for QC testing as needed.
• Completes necessary paperwork and/or data entry for production and/or inventory records.
• Adheres to all GMP, including sanitary requirements, Safety, and Standardized Work procedures.
• Adheres to guidelines as set forth by religious dietary law certifications (Kosher and Halal).

Requirements for

Stick Packaging Department:

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts to the production process, including conversion of weight and volume in the metric system.
• Ability to read and follow a production journal to produce batches.
• Ability to operate a pallet walker and/or forklift, preferred.
• Ability to use basic hand tools (hammer, screwdriver, wrench) for assembly and disassembly of equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers regarding the status of the production process.
• Basic computer skills. ERP system knowledge (SAP), preferred.
