Lumber Yard Worker

In this role, you will be responsible for handling, organizing, and managing lumber to ensure smooth shipping, receiving, and inventory processes. Your proactive approach and mechanical aptitude will help maintain a safe, organized, and productive environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy equipment and contribute to a fast-paced supply chain. Responsibilities Piling, sorting, planing, and sanding green and kiln dried lumber. Maintain organization of the yard by stacking pallets, managing inventory locations, and ensuring materials are stored securely Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments against orders and preparing items for delivery or storage Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow, improve efficiency, and uphold safety protocols Requirements Proven experience in warehouse distribution or materials handling. Mechanical knowledge or experience with tools used in warehouse environments is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly while maintaining proper safety techniques Strong organizational skills with attention to detail during load & unload activities
