Operator 2nd shift

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Operator for the second shift to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating various machinery and equipment to produce high-quality plastic components efficiently and safely. Responsibilities Operate plastics blow molding, injection molding, extrusion, and other manufacturing machinery with precision and adherence to safety protocols. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and adjust machine operations for optimal performance. Conduct quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure product specifications are met. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on equipment such as press brake machines, CNC lathes, CNC machines, and fabrication tools. Handle materials efficiently using forklifts and other warehouse equipment, ensuring proper materials handling and storage. Assist in assembly processes and fabrication tasks to meet production goals. Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, quality checks, and equipment maintenance. Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying areas for process improvement and waste reduction. Follow safety guidelines diligently while operating machinery and handling materials. Qualifications Proven experience in manufacturing environments with knowledge of plastics blow molding, injection molding, extrusion, or related processes. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CNC machinery, press brake machines, and fabrication tools. Ability to use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments accurately. Mechanical knowledge related to plastics processing equipment and general machining practices. Warehouse experience including forklift operation is preferred. Strong understanding of materials handling procedures within a manufacturing setting. Basic math skills necessary for measurements and quality inspections. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles aimed at efficiency improvements. Prior experience with quality inspection standards in plastics or manufacturing industries is advantageous.
