Position Summary:

This position coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to production schedule. The position duties include reviewing and distribution production, work, and shipment schedules; conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; and compiling reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Verify operators run reports (MFG job number, data number, etc.). Add roll card weights and verify against totals. Ensure that partial totals are correct and check for partial weights on roll cards.
  • Perform SAP transactions for report processing for the converting group.
  • Run shift summary
  • Balance shift reports and verify sign on time. Scan report for errors.
  • File all operator run reports
  • Close out all completed jobs. Perform DA12 and print job summary. Attach appropriate paperwork to SFP and send completed packet to Production Control.
  • Re-class salvaged material, edge damage, PDO's, etc.
  • Print labels and pallet summaries for all jobs. Maintain area around printers. Check print quality on labels.
  • Balance bag machine locations (tubing).
  • Balance warehouse locations (finished pallets).
  • File all reports at month end.
  • Reconcile all out-of-balance orders.
  • Update SOP/SOC manuals as necessary.
  • Maintain department forms and cabinet.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
  • Update Bagmaking production schedule each morning, before giving to Production Control.
  • Verify and close out all finished orders and return to Production Control.
  • Coordinate the transfer of reject rolls to Extrusion.
  • Performs various clerical duties such as photocopying, filing, sorting, and distributing department paperwork.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

    • High School diploma or equivalent; additional related training is preferred

    • SAP skills preferred

    • Able to work both independently and within a team, generating results with general/minimal guidance from management
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with professional presentation and negotiation skills.
    • As a team member, follow all safety, quality, plant GMP and safe food handling rules
    • Flexible work schedule based upon project demands and business needs.
    • Follow all applicable EHS, Quality and Food Safety procedures and protocols, and reports any incident to his/her supervisor.
    • Complete all EHS, Quality and Food Safety applicable training.
    • Support implementation of the Quality and Food Safety program and comply with the expectations if this role is included as part of the Food Safety or Internal Audit team.
