Job Description

Pay:
$25-$38/hour, depending on experience
Shift:
Day shift, Monday-Friday, 6am start time, with end time between 2pm-4pm Chem-Pak, Inc. is seeking an experienced, dependable, and detail-oriented Batch Operator / Senior Batch Operator to join our Production team. In this hands-on manufacturing role, you will prepare and batch materials according to established formulas, production schedules, and quality specifications. This position requires accuracy, strong attention to detail, and the ability to safely handle materials and operate batching equipment. We are hiring at multiple experience levels for this posting — from Batch Operators with at least 1 year of relevant experience up to Senior Batch Operators with more extensive backgrounds in chemical manufacturing. Pay will be determined based on your experience level during the interview process. The ideal candidate has previous experience in chemical manufacturing, industrial mixing, blending, compounding, or a similar production environment and understands the importance of following formulas, procedures, and safety requirements exactly. Senior candidates should also be comfortable troubleshooting issues independently, mentoring newer team members, and taking a lead role on the production floor when needed. Key Responsibilities Prepare and batch materials according to formulas, production schedules, and manufacturing specifications. Accurately measure, weigh, and combine raw materials to ensure proper batch composition. Follow standard operating procedures, batch instructions, safety requirements, and quality standards. Safely operate batching, mixing, and material-handling equipment. Monitor batches throughout the process and promptly report equipment, material, or quality concerns. Complete required quality checks and verify that batches meet established specifications. Maintain accurate records of batching activities, raw material usage, and production information. Assist with routine equipment inspections, cleaning, and basic maintenance. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized batching area. Coordinate with Production, Quality, Warehouse, and Maintenance team members to keep operations running efficiently. Follow all company safety, quality, and production procedures. (Senior level) Provide guidance and on-the-job training to less experienced batching staff. (Senior level) Help troubleshoot batching issues and support continuous improvement efforts. Qualifications At least 1 year of experience in batching, industrial mixing, blending, compounding, chemical manufacturing, or a related production environment is required. Ability to accurately follow formulas, batch instructions, SOPs, and specifications. Strong basic math skills, including measuring, weighing, and completing production calculations. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to recognize and communicate material, equipment, or quality concerns. Strong safety awareness and commitment to following established procedures. Dependable attendance and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Good communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Additional years of relevant experience may qualify candidates for consideration at the Senior Batch Operator level and pay rate. Physical Requirements Candidates must be able to perform the physical responsibilities of the position, including: Standing and walking for extended periods. Performing repetitive tasks. Climbing as required. Regularly lifting and handling materials weighing up to 50 pounds, including lifting above shoulder level. Working indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures.
