Job Summary The Orthopedic Technician applies and removes all forms of splints and casts within the Ortho Clinic and upon request in the inpatient setting. Is also responsible for providing education related to cast care. Pay Range Minimum $28.07 Midpoint $37.18 Maximum $46.31 Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements. Experience

Required:

Minimum one (1) year of medical field experience with casting and splinting application and removal.

Preferred:

Previous experience in a p ediatric orthopedic clinic . Education

Required:

High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent . Training

Required:

Previous training as an orthopedic technician, medic, or emergency medical technician (EMT) Specialized Skills

Required:

Strong verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal relationship and collaboration skills. • English and Spanish. Licensure

Required:

Basic Life Support (BLS). Orthopedic Technologist Certified (OTC) or Registered Orthopedic Technician (ROT) or 1 additional year of medical field experience with casting and splinting application and removal.

Preferred:

Registered Orthopedic Technician. Work Environments
