In this vital role, you will assist orthopedic surgeons and healthcare providers in delivering exceptional patient care by preparing and maintaining orthopedic equipment, supporting patient procedures, and ensuring a safe, sterile environment. Your expertise will contribute to accurate diagnoses, effective treatment plans, and improved patient outcomes. This position offers an engaging opportunity to apply your clinical skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting where your contributions truly make a difference. Responsibilities Prepare and assist with orthopedic procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and ready for use Support patients through intake processes, including gathering medical histories and explaining procedures clearly and compassionately Assist with patient positioning, immobilization, casting, bracing, and other orthopaedic interventions under supervision of healthcare professionals Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, including ICD (International Classification of Diseases) coding for billing and record-keeping purposes Apply aseptic techniques diligently to prevent infection during all clinical activities Support the clinical team by managing inventory of orthopaedic supplies and ensuring proper sterilization protocols are followed Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care, including pediatric cases when applicable Demonstrate strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients and staff Requirements Valid certification as an Orthopaedic Technician from an accredited program Prior hospital or clinical experience working in a healthcare setting preferred Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to orthopaedics Experience with patient intake procedures and providing excellent patient service Familiarity with ICD coding for accurate documentation and billing processes Understanding of aseptic technique to maintain sterile environments during procedures Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail Strong communication skills to support patient care and team collaboration Join us in delivering outstanding orthopaedic care!
