Job Title:
Medical Assembler Job Description As a Medical Assembler, you will initiate your journey in the coiling department within a cleanroom setting. You will undergo a gowning process that includes wearing a smock, booties, hair net, beard net if applicable, and eye protection. Your primary tasks involve operating coil winding machines to create components used in medical products such as stints, catheters, and leads. You will transition between standing and sitting throughout your shift, with the potential to be cross-trained in other assembly areas. Responsibilities Operate coil winding machines to wrap coils around spindles. Inspect and manipulate wires using microscopes. Sit or stand for up to 8 hours a day as required. Work with small hand tools under and without microscopes. Build medical components and parts following written instructions. Inspect and deburr parts in the molding area using tools like pliers and filers. Perform repetitive tasks with high attention to detail in cleanroom environments. Use laser welding machines and microscopes to weld small medical components. Work in non-cleanroom settings with automated presses and stamping machines. Inspect, deburr, and file metal parts, ensuring quality and precision. Essential Skills 4-6+ months of medical manufacturing or small part experience. 4-6+ months of microscope experience. Hand dexterity and attention to detail. Experience in cleanroom environments and assembly processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Mechanical inclination is beneficial for working with machines. Experience in sewing or activities requiring hand dexterity. Adaptability to cross-training in different assembly lines. Why Work Here? Be prepared to alternate between sitting and standing each day, with flexibility in dress code allowing skirts with pants or leggings underneath. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.53/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
