Medical Assembler Job Description As a Medical Assembler, you will play a crucial role in the production of medical components and devices. You will begin your journey in the coiling department, where your work will take place in a cleanroom environment. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to work with small parts and various machinery. Responsibilities Begin in the coiling department, wearing necessary cleanroom attire. Operate coil winding machines to wrap coils around a spindle. Use microscopes 30-50% of the time for inspection and manipulation of wires. Participate in the molding area, inspecting and deburring parts. Work with small hand tools and microscopes in the CEA Assembly Areas. Handle laser welding machines and microscopes in the Laser Welding Area. Operate automated presses and stamping machines in the Implantable Housings Area. Inspect and deburr metal parts using microscopes as needed. Sit or stand for 8 hours depending on the task. Essential Skills 4-6+ months of experience in medical manufacturing or small part handling. Proficiency with microscopes. Experience in cleanroom environments. Ability to follow written work instructions. Comfort with coil winding and laser welding. Additional Skills & Qualifications Mechanical inclination is beneficial, especially in the housings area. Experience in sewing or tasks requiring hand dexterity is a plus. Adaptability and willingness to be cross-trained across different areas. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is primarily a cleanroom where adherence to gowning protocols is necessary. Some roles are in non-cleanroom areas with louder settings and potential oil smells. Eye protection is mandatory, and steel-toed shoe covers are provided. Flexibility in sitting and standing is required, and accommodations for attire are made to ensure safety. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of White Bear Lake, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.78/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
