Job Description
TriSource is seeking an experienced Orthopaedic Technician to join a Orthopedics Clinic team in Fairfax, VA. This full-time position supports physicians and healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality orthopedic patient care in both clinical and surgical settings. The Orthopaedic Technician is a key member of the orthopedic care team and assists with surgical and non-surgical procedures, patient education, casting and splinting, durable medical equipment application, and general clinical support. Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pmResponsibilities:
Apply and remove basic and specialized braces, plaster and fiberglass casts, splints, and traction devices Assist with orthopedic procedures in clinic and operating room settings as needed Apply specialty-specific Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Remove sutures, staples, and bone pins Perform dressing changes and wound care Educate patients and families on orthopedic care and treatment plans Record patient vital signs including blood pressure, height, and weight Prepare patients for exams and treatments Assist patients with mobility and general care needs Support physicians and nurses during examinations and procedures Collect specimens and perform phlebotomy as needed Relay instructions and answer patient/family questions Document procedures and billing accurately in EPIC Maintain and organize patient medical records Obtain lab reports, imaging results, referrals, and hospital records Complete forms and requisitions as needed Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies/equipment Maintain exam rooms and clinical areas according to sterile technique and universal precautions Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED Current CPR Certification Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical group practice or similar healthcare setting Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Experience with medical terminologyPay Rate:
$25-$28/HR #IND3 Ability to pass employment TB screening, drug screening, and physical examPay:
