Job Description

Talascend is currently seeking a Medical Device Assembler for a contract opportunity with our client in Madison, Wisconsin . Overview This role involves assembling and testing medical device assemblies, final products, and accessories in accordance with manufacturing documentation, while ensuring compliance with quality systems and medical device regulations. Responsibilities Assemble, test, and repair work per established work instructions, policies, and procedures. Perform assembly diagnosis and repair. Complete all required training in a timely manner. Maintain an organized and professional workspace. Notify supervisors or team leads of quality concerns. Train other production assemblers as needed. Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and assembly drawings. Communicate with quality and facilities teams about issues with products or equipment. Provide guidance in problem diagnosis and resolution with team members. Assist in development and revision of SOPs, work instructions, device history records, or other quality documentation. Maintain strong attention to detail while managing multiple tasks under strict deadlines. Comply with environmental health and safety (EHS) and quality procedures, regulations, and policies. Work scheduled or expanded shifts, holidays, and off-shift duties as necessary. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering or related scientific field, or associate's degree with 2+ years of experience, or high school diploma with 6+ years of experience in a similar position. Ability to work independently and motivate staff to meet deadlines. Problem solving and process improvement skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in cGMP settings and with controlled documentation. SAP skills and experience. Six Sigma belt or LEAN methodology knowledge.
